Our unit has now upgraded its facilities to an advanced new model of cardiac machine for the investigation of different kinds of heart diseases by using Echocardiogram, Stress Test (Treadmill Exercise Test) and Holter 24 hours Electrocardiogram. Also, the unit conducts Lung Function Test for the investigation of pulmonary problems. Non-invasive cardiac-pulmonary diagnostic Services Include: Echocardiography (2D Echo) A form of ultrasound test used to examine the heart structure and heart valve.
Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring of blood pressure readings over 24 hours while a person is performing daily routine activities.
Treadmill Stress Test This test will provide information regarding your level of exercise tolerance, and the ability of your heart to respond appropriately to an increased workload. It is an early detection of coronary heart disease.
Holter Monitoring Records the electrical activity of the heart for a 24 hour period of time. This allows detection of any irregularities and/or abnormalities in the heart's rhythm during normal activities.
Tilt Table Test Useful diagnostic procedure for patients who have symptoms of severe lightheadedness, dizziness or fainting spells.
Transoesophageal Echocardiogram A special ultrasound test which is used mainly to look for holes and clots in the heart.
Lung Function Test (Spirometry) Spirometry is the most common of the pulmonary function test. It involves measuring lung function, specifically the amount (Volume) and/or speed (flow) of air that can be inhaled or exhaled. Spirometry is also an important tool used for assessing conditions such as asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
SLEEP STUDY Sleep studies are tests that watch what happens to your body during sleep. The studies are done to find out what is causing your sleep problems. The test is simple, painless and non-invasive. Sleeping data is recorded by advanced monitoring equipment. Data collected will be studied by sleep specialist : To refine and analyze the sleeping data. To diagnose, give professional advice and suggest treatment plan. Scope of Service: Single room one night provided. Sleep Apnea test includes Electro-encephalogram (EEG), Electrocardiogram (ECG), Electromyogram (EMG), Random Eye Movements (REM), sleep posturing, breathing rates, limb movements, oxygen saturation level and movement of chest and abdomen etc.
Electroencephalogram (EEG) An electroencephalogram (EEG) is a test that measures and records the electrical activity of your brain. EEG refers to the recording of brain waves for neurological evaluation of patients who are having cerebral problems. It is especially useful for the diagnosis of epilepsy and also useful for the diagnosis of coma, encephalopathies, tumors and stroke.
Electromyography (EMG) An electromyogram (EMG) measures the electrical activity of muscles at rest and during contraction. Measuring the electrical activity in muscles and nerves can help find diseases that damage muscle tissue or nerves.
